Wesley So wins the Tata Steel Masters 2017

Wesley So started 2017 just as he finished 2016 with a major tournament victory in the Tata Steel Masters. It is his second super-tournament victory in two months. He is the new #2 player in the World. Wesley So has rocked the chess world, and he finished Tata Steel on a bright note. Magnus Carlsen took the second place, and Indian Grandmaster Adhiban finished third, making his greatest success in his career.

British Grandmaster Gawain Jones won the Challengers tournament and qualified to play in Tata Steel Masters 2018. Ragger Markus took the second place, and 16-year-old American GM Xiong Jeffery took the third place with 7 wins.
