The US Chess Championships took place in Saint Louis 29th March to 10th April 2017. Players in men’s section: So, Shankland, Nakamura, Robson, Caruana,  Xiong, Kamsky, Onischuk, Naroditsky, Akobian, Zherebukh, and Shabalov. Leading players in the women’s Krush, Abrahamyan, Maggie Feng, Zatonskih, Paikidze, Jennifer Yu, etc. Wesley So won the title after beating Alexander Onischuk in a tie-break rapid match. He has now extended his streak of undefeated games to 67!  Sabina-Francesca Foisor won the women’s event. Her finishing combination, initiated by a queen sacrifice, was close to a pure puzzle.
